By the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation dated June 30, 2004 №323 “On Approval of Provision on the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare” (paragraph 5.1.4.1) Roszdravnadzor is vested with the power to perform the federal state supervision over circulation of medicines by means of inspection of the subjects of circulation of medicines for compliance with the requirements for destruction of medicines.
The requirements for destruction of substandard quality, falsified and counterfeited medicines are set by the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation dated September 3, 2010 № 674 “On Approval of the Rules of Destruction of Substandard Quality, Falsified and Counterfeited Medicines”.
The procedures performed by Roszdravnadzor when executing this state function are specified by the Order of the Ministry of Health and Social Development dated September 29, 2011 № 1090н “On Approval of the Administrative Regulation of Performance of the State Duty of Supervision over Destruction of Medicines by the Federal Service for Surveillance in Healthcare and Social Development”.
